Stripes and more Stripes

Hi Lovelies!
I continue to try different combos with my tiny wardrobe. Here is my latest effort.

Green jacket
black and white LLBEAN boatneck
black jeans
black biker boots
black and white striped jersy scarf from talbots
white watch
black and white dangle earrings

Is the scarf and top too much! Does it all look ok together? Opinions and suggestions gratefully accepted.

Funky Orange Bowling Shirt

Happy Sunday lovely YLFR'S!
I picked up this thrifted retro shirt (sort of bowling shirt silhouette). I love the color and pattern so I wanted to see if I could incorporate this into my wardrobe since I am trying to work more color and pattern into my mostly neutral outfits. I tried it in various ways and wanted to post them to get opinions. Is it too crazy looking with the scarf? Should I just wear it with the necklace? Does it flatter me?

I am grateful for feedback!

Basic outfit is orange top,
Navy blue Talbots cardi
WHBM blue jeans
black biker boots
bead and locket necklace
Eddie Bauer khaki field jacket
striped orange and white scarf

Happy Friday -Working a Green and Brown outfit

Good morning lovely YLFR'S and happy Friday to all of you. Today the sun is actually shining and it is not supposed to snow! Yay!!! I recently purchased some thrift store shirts with the intention of getting more pattern and color into my wardrobe (other than scarves). The top I am wearing today I teamed up a few days ago with a yellow cardigan. I intend to also try it with navy and with my light green jean jacket as well as under some vnecks and scoop neck tops. I am looking for extending the mileage as much as I can. Today I am wearing it with brown which I think looks fine although not stellar. The outfit components are listed below:

green and brown paisley button down shirt (thrifted)
green three quarter length cardigan (Dress barn)
brown cords (Kohls)
brown knee high boots (ColdWater Creek) I actually wanted to tuck these but too bunchy looking - need to find some straight or skinnier jeans
khaki field jacket (Eddie Bauer) It's rumpled but is supposed to look that way
blue cross hatched scarf (American Eagle)

As always I value your comments and suggestions!

retro blue shirt. Does this work with the sweater? K/R

Hello lovely ladies,
I thrifted a cobalt blue retro pattern shirt last weekend that I have teamed with this dusty pink sweater and black, jeans, black boots, and black multistrand necklace. I think the shirt works fine with this and I really want to wear it with my new yellow BR cardigan. It might even work with my green denim jacket. Opinions and other styling options welcome. I'm still trying to make it be spring here in Boise, but I just felt a few flakes of snow! Bummer!! :(

Wished for Spring But Got a Winter Storm Instead

Hello all you lovelies!
When I dressed this morning I had Spring in my heart. It was above 40 degrees (farenheit) and I was sure it would be lovely. By the time I got to work I felt like I had been through a winter storm (sudden sleet and hail). I felt like I was driving on a giant slushy! So much for positive Springy thoughts. I think I look springy though. Your opinions are always appreciated!

Light green denim jacket
gray and cream stripe LLBEAN boatneck. (one of three)
Eddie Bauer gray trouser cords (I am replacing these with something trimmer)
Tsubo black and gray sport maryjanes/tennies
new funky black and metal circles necklace

Retro shirt with BR cardigan Look ok?

Hi lovelies,
I went thrifting on Sunday (after I went to a new import place) where I met Murphy the darling Jack Russell terrier.
At the thrift store I found a number of shirts with interesting color and/or patterns. I wasn't too worried about how they would look standalone since I plan to wear them under vnecks or cardigans.
For work today I have teamed a gap green paisley button down(one of the thrifted items) with my new BR yellow cardi, Black Rafaella wide leg work pants, a pair of Ecco black booties and my faux leather gray moto jacket (I remove this when I get to work). Does this work ok?

Thanks for opinions.

Exploring new Import Store and Bonus Shot of New Furfriend!

Hi Lovely YLFR'S

Took my twin to an import store I hadn't visited before. Lots of beautiful reclaimed teak and stone and well, it was gorgeous. We had a great time and met a new furfriend (whose picture I have included). He is 17 years old, a Jack Russell long hair and his name is Murphy!

I wore my gap navy polkdot shirt
LLbean cream and navy boatneck stripe
WHBM blue jeans
Cold Water creek brown boots
Ann Taylor citron scarf
Eddie Bauer khaki field jacket.

Opinions are always appreciated!

more tucking and a menswear look?

Hi dear lovely YLFR'S
Trying for a buttoned up approach. Gray BR turtleneck, black jeans, black Etienne Aignier knee high boots, purple Talbots shirt mult-patterned purple scarf, Black BR cardigan sweater. Opinions please? Do I look too like it's too much black?

Happy Friday

First attempt at tucking knee high boots in jeans

Hi lovely ladies!
I have a pair of Etienne Aignier knee high riding boots that I purchased a couple of months ago. I haven't found any skirts or skinnies that I like on me yet but I really wanted to wear them with a pair of pants tucked in. I teamed them with:
Gray turtleneck
Gray faux leather moto jacket
Black straight leg jeans
black and gray jersey striped scarf

My question is, do they bunch too much at the knee with this jean? Opinions on the overall look?

New LLBEAN Striped Boatneck recommended by MaryK

Hello lovelies,
I received my new striped boatneck yesterday and wanted to try it out. I have styled it with black jeans and old ballet flats plus a gray talbots sweater for inside (is it better buttoned or unbuttoned?) and my trusty gray faux leather moto jacket for outside and inside if necessary. Is the fit of the boatneck ok? Is this all too plain looking without a scarf? I don't really have a scarf I like with this yet plus I wanted to see the line of the boatneck. I am trying to channel my Parisian Gamin look as best as I can given I don't have a shall we say "waiflike" figure. Got the hair down though! Opinions and sugestions appreciated as always.
