Sonnet for the Self

Hi Lovely YLFRS,
Just got my new shirt the other day and wore it for the first time today. It is a small and seems to fit ok. Can't wear blue jeans to work so I just paired it with motorcycle boots and my black denim jeans. Added a red scarf for color but I am not sure I won't be cutting the pom poms off. I really want to find some nice colored jeans (maybe red or white). This is a pretty casual look but very comfy. Hope it looks ok.

I wore a charcoal sweater cardigan purple sleeveless turtleneck my jersey striped scarf and glen plaid pants with black booties. I only have about 3 pairs of pants!
Guess I need to get a couple of more pairs. Suggestions?

I have been trying to find a striped boatneck that I like on me with no success so far. However, I did find this striped scarf that has that vibe I have been looking for. It is even made of jersey which reminds me of coco chanel's work with jersey. I hope you all like it!

Today I teamed my workhourse gray faux leather jacket, inexpensive bootcut black jeans (I know....too short!), black ecco ankle boots, black and polka dot scarf, red handbag, AND a for me difficult to style gray BR polished cotton long sleeve button down. I HATE tucking it in so left it out. Does it look too snug? Suggestions?

This is just to include my shoes and handbag both of which I forgot to include in my last post. I didn't have a red clutch so my daybag had to suffice.
Please see my previous post (of the same name) for the sweater and polkadot dress that were worn. I realize now that when I post I should include shoes or handbag also!

I know it is MaryK's neutrals challenge week but I did so many neutral postings when I started posting WIW two weeks ago that I want a little COLOR!! Now I know that Navy is a neutral but I have teamed it with a light blue check and a blue paisley and I need to know if this looks good together or too ALGO. Should I lose the scarf and just go shirt and sweater? Or should I lose the checked shirt and go sweater and scarf? Or is all three NOT too over the top? Advice please!

I was on Nordy's site looking at cardigan sweaters and found this link. I love the entire look! I think I can wear the orange, but just need to get a denim shirt along with my so-so black jeans. What do you think?
