debut of new Anne Klein Dress - Angie Approved

This is what I wore to twinnie's house for dinner last night. I didn't put a jacket over it because it was very warm yesterday so I realize the look is pretty casual. It is very comfortable and will be great for summer traveling. I think I can make it work at least into Fall if I wear a darker topper and close toed footwear. I hope you like it!

    That looks like a very versatile dress! It looks perfect on you.

    Meredith this is such a pretty dress. The colors are lovely and the cut is so flattering. I imagine this will be a very versatile addition to your closet.

    Thanks Janet and Deborah. I'm hoping so! My favorite dress so far is my black a-line AT that I have been wearing a lot (for me) but I felt I needed something with some color and pattern to add some variety!

    Hurray for another dress on Meredith, which she wear so very well!

    You look gorgeous --- even with no accessories and third pieces, you look extremely stylish. The colour and cut and print are more than enough interest with no extra help (love dresses that do the work for you!) --- add your own great shape and hair, and you come out looking *beautiful*!

    If it got chilly, your coral jacket or a bright shawl/large would make for great dressed-down and dressed-up variations, or to wear to work with a white denim jacket. Later in the year, you could put a jacket or pullover on top and layer to skirt-ify with tights, or layer under it if there's room. I think this is a great augmentation of your wardrobe, very versatile, just like your classic LBD but more lighthearted and easier to casual-ize.

    @ManidipaM,
    Great idea about trying tights and sweaters in colder weather. I thought the drape and print might read too Spring/Summer but I am certainly willing to try. Even if I only get 3 seasons out of it (Spring/Summer/Fall) that is still pretty good! I am glad you like the dress! I have missed you and am so glad you are back and posting! Here is an example of it with a couple of new toppers I purchased at the same time that got the official thumbs up from Angie and other YLF.

    Meredith, you obviously feel great in this dress and with good reason. I think ManidipaM really nailed it in her comments. It's a lovely piece that really works for you and your lifestyle. The sandals are equally fab, and the additional styling options with the jackets take it up a notch and add more versatility. Cropped denim jackets, different accessories, pops of color, and you have a completely different look. Awesome.

    That dress is a 10! I love it with the white jacket too.

    Fab dress - perfect for you!!

  • Irene replied 11 years ago

    Gorgeous dress on you!

  • Meredith1953 replied 11 years ago

    @Kyle
    Thanks so much for liking it! I agree that different jackets and touches of color will maximize it's versatility and I'm thinking that most of my jackets might work with it so I'll have to play around with them! I do like the simple cut of the dress and that it is a basically unfussy style.

    @Angie,
    I so appreciate your guiding me along the way and helping me feel more comfortable in dresses! It's thrilling to get a "10"!

    Very pretty Meredith - you're going to get a lot of wear out of this.

  • christy replied 11 years ago

    Perfect dress! So lovely on it's own with the sandals. I particularly like it with the white jacket as a topper.

  • replied 11 years ago

    Gotta love a perfect sheath dress, especially with a print. One and done! Nothing else needed. Yes, you can add things, but it doesn't look like it's "missing something" on it's own.

  • Meredith1953 replied 11 years ago

    @Rae,
    Thanks! I really feel that the shape and the style are going to be pretty practical to dress up or down!

    @Lemonade,
    Thanks! I love that cute little sheath dress you posted!

    @Shannon,
    I do hope that I will get a good amount of use out of it!
    I'm glad you like it!

    @christyg,
    I wasn't sure about the sandals but they do seem to work. I like the white jacket with it and I think one of my colored denims will work also!

    @Claire,
    I like the simplicity of it also. I am not much of a frills kind of gal!

  • Kirti replied 11 years ago

    Fabulous! You should add more sheath dresses to your wardrobe! :-)

  • Meredith1953 replied 11 years ago

    @Kirti,
    Hi lovely girl! Good point! I really like sheaths better than most other types of dresses! Not that I have many dresses to base that observation on! I really need to find a top and skirt that can functions as a dress but also as separate pieces too!

  • Beth Ann replied 11 years ago

    Truly lovely, and elegantly simple. This will be a great piece for you, and I love it with the white topper, too!

  • Meredith1953 replied 11 years ago

    @Beth Ann,
    Thanks so much! You always wear dresses so well so I am really happy that you like the dress!

    This dress is a winner! You look great in it and I'm sure you'll have fun styling it in many ways.

  • Jonesy replied 11 years ago

    Love it, especially with the white jacket! I also love that you have dinner with your twinnie every week :)! How wonderful.

  • Jewell replied 11 years ago

    Meredith, I concur that the dress is a 10! Great print and this length is super flattering to your legs. You must treat yourself to more dresses because you wear them quite well!

  • catgirl replied 11 years ago

    Lovely, versatile, fits well - what's not to love?

  • christieanne replied 11 years ago

    In warm weather, a simple but chic dress seems just about perfect! You look comfortable and happy and the colors suit you so well.
