Hot day....minimal dressing

Ok. I do need to cover up a little for work but dang! It is hot today. I settled on my black AT tailored aline dress with clark lizard wedge sandals and my denim jacket for the air conditioned office. Carried along my cheap but cheerful orange bag. I went sans hose due to the heat. -which I actually hate doing as my legs are beyond white and little friends "broken veins" make me a tad self-conscious.

Hope you lovelies are enjoying nice weather and thanks for stopping by!

You look lovely Meredith! And don't you worry a darned thing about your white legs...have you seen mine??? Pale skin is healthy skin.

Very classy and cool! That dress is very slimming too.

Looking good! I wear a variation of this outfit myself, so I'm also biased! :) Black dress, sandals, red bag, denim jacket (or vest). Oh yes. Tried and true. I think it looks simple and fabulous for a hot day.

Oops - you have an orange bag. My bad! But the formula is still an awesome one!

You look great! I'm very pale allover and I agree with Shannon, pale skin is healthy skin. Nothing wrong with it! Some people just don't tan much naturally.

ok...this might be my fave of all. love the simplicity with just the right amount of zing.

This is a great hot weather look and one I've liked to wear sleeveless sheath, sandals, and faded jean jacket for over air-conditioned places. The addition of the red bag is a nice touch. Love this.

Thanks! Your legs may be pale but not "veiny"! I agree that pale skin is healthy though!

Thanks! I really like the cut of the dress also and the fact that it stays away from the body makes it more breezy and airconditioned.

Thanks! It is nice to hear that you use the formula also!

Thanks! Your skin is pale but you don't look like you have freckles. Come to think of it...neither does Shannon.

    I love simple too! :)

Thanks so much! It is pretty much my favorite hot weather outfit right now!

This is lovely, Meredith. And you'll soon see me post an almost identical outfit. As soon as the weather permits!!

  • Janet replied 8 years ago

That was my strategy yesterday, Meredith! (Today it's not so humid, so I braved trousers, but I stuck with a floaty top :-)

You look cool and polished. I'm also a member of the proud pale legs club!

You look fab! And don't worry about your legs, mine have spots and splotches but I don't care when it is hot!

  • Meredith1953 replied 8 years ago

Thanks so much! Made my day! :)

Can't wait to see your "twin" outfit!

Thanks! I LOVE the floaty tops you have been sporting!

Thanks so much! I agree that the heat trumps any apprehension about my legs!

You look great! I'm all for bearing imperfect legs. Go for it.

  • catgirl replied 8 years ago

Please send some heat my way - we're still in the 50s and down to low 40s at night. Grrr. You look nice and cool!

  • Meredith1953 replied 8 years ago

Oh I'm bearing them all right! Veins and all!

I'd love to send you some warm weather. Pretty soon we are going to have too much and I'd just love to give it away. When the heck does it get warm where you live?

Meredith I am SO glad you are wearing dresses more, this is just a beautiful look for you! Strong color combo, strong outfit. Very nice!

  • AJ replied 8 years ago

This is a lovely outfit on you! Regardless of the imperfections your legs may have, they are strong, healthy, and work hard for you so show them off with pride. : )
