Off to rotate tires for a friend

I'm off to help a friend with a sports car get her winter tires switched with her general tires. Her car is too small to carry those tires so I am bringing my jeep with the other tires down to Les Schwab to get them rotated and then bringing the snow tires back to her place for her. Pre YLF I would have worn yoga gear probably but I decided to go ahead and dress properly. What a good influence you all are!

WIW
dark wash skinnies
gray BR turtleneck
coral jean jacket
taupe Born shooties
multi floral scarf

Opinions and suggestions appreciated. I am happy to say that the skinnies are only starting to feel a little baggy and this is after 4 or 5 wearings so they are definitely holding up well before needing a spin in the washer. I'll probably also wear this to dinner with family at twinnies house.

    Coral and grey is a lovely combo Mer! Love the outfit :)

    You will definitely be the most stylish creature at Les Schwab!

    Because at YLF, no event is too insignificant to dress well. (If only I could remember that when my event = lounging on the couch.)

    You look lovely, Meredith! I am loving that coral jacket. And what a good friend you are, too!

    Do you and your twin share clothing?

  • Meredith1953 replied 12 years ago

    Thanks Kirti! BTW I love that new denim red jacket and those black and white oxfords!

    @CoCoLion, Thanks! and you made me chuckle. I am trying to picture you EVER looking anything other than stylish....even when being a couch potato!

    @Alicat,
    Why yes my twinnie and I do swap and share clothing regularly. I always come whining to her when I need to wear a dress. The black little a-line dress I posted recently was given me by her. The first dress (polka-dot) that I posted (for the Puccini Martini Blast was from my baby sister, so they both take pity on their dress challenged sister!

    Thanks mer! I haven't gotten the shoes yet, but I'm sure it won't be long before I do :P

    Meredith, you are the BEST friend. WOW. All that beauty and a giant heart, too!

  • Meredith1953 replied 12 years ago

    Why thank you Heather!!

    Great outfit Meredith! This is such a sophisticated color palette for pink (and I'm not usually a fan of pink).

  • Diana replied 12 years ago

    You look great and you are such a great friend! I really like that coral color on you.

  • Meredith1953 replied 12 years ago

    Thanks for liking the outfit Aida! I know you probably can't tell but the pink is actually coral (darn my droidx smartphone camera!) but I know it looks pinkish in the photos... I'm not crazy about pastel pink but I like other shades that are deeper.
    @ Diana,
    Thanks for the kind words and liking my outfit!

    Such a great friend! What a pretty outfit :) You look ready for anything! Hope nothing gets ruined doing the deed...

  • Meredith1953 replied 12 years ago

    @Biscuitsmom,
    I was very careful and made it back safely with the oufit completely intact! Thanks for liking it!

  • Jem replied 12 years ago

    You look fab! I love you in the coral color. It's really flattering!

  • Meredith1953 replied 12 years ago

    Thank you so much Jem!

    What a pretty color on you! You look far more fashionable than I would if I were doing tire duty! :) Sounds like those jeans have been a great find for you. They look terrific.

  • Meredith1953 replied 12 years ago

    Thanks Christyg! I like the skinnies better than I thought I would!

    I'm glad to hear you weren't the one rotating the tires, Meredith! Great outfit and I love the pinky coral on you, it brings out the color in your cheeks. I like that you wore it with a neutral outfit. *taking notes* :)

    The grey and coral is a lovely combination Meredith. And you look stylish but not overdo e for what you are doing today. I particular like your use of scarves in your outfits.

  • Beth Ann replied 12 years ago

    You are so consistent in your utter fabness, Meredith. Looking casual but put together even on casual days reminds the that every moment of every day is precious and full of things that matter.

  • ManidipaM replied 12 years ago

    Meredith, I can't believe how pretty you look for what is at best (euphemistically speaking) a very sporty activity! ::taking notes:: Your friend is a lucky girl to have you *and* your fabulousness behind her!

    @Claire,
    Thanks for approving! Yes indeed I was VERY careful to just "roll things" Fortunately she keeps the tires surrounded in plastic so I had no particular fears of getting dirty.
    @Deborah,
    Thanks! I like gray with almost everything. It is so versatile. I'm not sure how I would like it with the green jacket but I'm sure I could work one of the many scarves in to make it work somehow. Scarves seem to fix so many color combo problems!
    @Beth Ann,
    Ah...my style is as you have noticed VERY casual. The current rubric (love Shannon's term) is turtleneck or vneck sweater (I have almost no shirts or blouses) jacket or cardi, pants (at least I have now added skinnies)footwear (boots, shooties, new tennies) and of course a scarf! Thanks for approving the outfit! For me it takes the same amount of time to look bad as it does to look good.
    @ManidipaM,
    She and I have been friends for a long time and we live 3 doors away from each other. She adores me and my hubs (who has known her even longer than I have) and we in turn adore her! She is also my hairdresser! Thanks for the compliment about being "fab"!
