Snow and a neutral kind of day

Hello lovely YLFR's
Yesterday the weather got to be 56 degrees here in Boise. Today, my bubble has been burst. It snowed last night and is down to 38 degrees with winds of 25 to 30 miles per hour. Gah! I want winter to be over. I have dressed to suit the weather so here it is!

gray faux leather jacket (what a surprise)
gray zebra scarf
gray BR vneck
lavender button down (underneath vneck)
black wool slacks
black ecco booties
black and metal circle necklace

    Lovely Meredith! You do layering so well. Stay warm!

    Crazy Spring weather! We are expecting temps in the 80's today but only a high of 61 tomorrow. I guess the high winds are bringing in the cold air.

    You look lovely in lavender and you rising to the challenge beautifully with your layering. The necklace + scarf is fun, and I will never get tired of seeing you in that grey jacket. Rock on and keep warm!

    Beautiful!

    I really envy how lovely you look in colours that look awful on me and lavender is one of them! It looks so nice on you and goes perfectly with the greys :)

    I love this outfit! Nice necklace and great layering!

    We had high 50s on Saturday, 30 and snow on Sunday, 20 and snow yesterday, 40s today, 60s tomorrow. I am with you - this weather is crazy!

    I like that you left off the earrings, Meredith! And that shade of mid tone lilac is brilliant on you. Very fab :)

    I'd love to talk new specs with you. When you are ready, give me a shout.

    Yippee statement necklace! Yippee scarf!

    I am with Angie. That shade of lavender is heavenly on you! I love it with your greys. You really know what colours work for you best.

    Feeling gray, are you?! I know what you mean though...my daffodils are blooming here in the DC area so I know Spring is coming, but it's still pretty cold (late 40s today). I'm looking forward to tomorrow...65!

    Love the way you mixed in lavender with all those neutrals. You look very polished and pulled-together.

    @Angie,
    I DID leave the earrings off. I was reading one of your posts about minimal dressing (pretty much me) and thought that a necklace would suffice. I will absolutely talk new specs. Perhaps when I am closer to being ready to purchase as I'm sure the styles might change. Thanks for the lovely compliment about the lilac color!
    @Shannon,
    Thanks so much for the nice words! Doing my best to stay warm. I am supposed to go for a walk at lunch with a coworker and I'm REALLY going to need to bundle up!
    @Claire,
    Sounds like your weather is as schizophrenic as mine! Thanks for the compliments and especially for liking the gray jacket which has been a workhorse! I'll try to stay toasty!
    @Amy,
    Thanks! I appreciate your kind words.
    @Kirti,
    I cannot believe you wouldn't look fab in lavender! You look lovely in everything I've seen you in so I bet there would be a way for you to wear this color also! I tried to get the gray and the lavender to be approximately the same intensity level. Not sure if that would be the right word!
    @Makrame,
    Thanks for liking the necklace. It is pretty new and I think it is fun! Sounds like you have the crazy weather thing going big time!
    @Sarah
    I guess this is as close to a "statement" necklace as I get, although it was super inexpensive and I always thought statement indicated the opposite. However it does pull the focus somewhat!
    @Suz,
    I am so happy to have you back and commenting! I really appreciate your kind words!
    @Sunita,
    I haven't seen my daffys yet but they should be coming pretty soon. Yours are beautiful I bet! Thanks for liking the lavender mixed with the neutrals. I always like it when I get a lovely compliment like "polished and pulled-together".
    I was reading one of Angie's pieces from a few years back about age appropriate dressing and I think I understand how to pick flattering colors but refined and polished is goal I really need to work for.

    I love to layer and I don't mind if winter continues to hang around my way just a tad longer. You have a lovely layered look with greys here, nice job!

    Thank you Lisa!
