Sonnet for the Self

Hi lovely ladies!
It will 95 degrees today! Very hot and sunny. Since our building is air conditioned I teamed up my sleeves AT black A-Line dress with my new AE white denim jacket, white watch, black and white Talbots scarf, and black wedges. This is VERY high contrast for me and so I hope it looks ok. Generally I am more of a medium or low contrast gal. Strangely enough I don't feel high contrast when I am wearing my white denim jeans.

The other day I stopped by the mall to look for a soft chambray shirt. I have been wanting one for some time but just wasn't enthused about what I was seeing. I stopped in at AE and found this incredibly soft chambray shirt that feels wonderful on. I had to get it. I figure I can wear it now obviously, but also layered under sweaters in the Fall. I also managed to find a white denim jacket, which I have wanted for awhile also. Everything I was seeing before was too stiff and I need things to feel soft and broken in right away. This denim jacket is as soft as wearing your favorite flannel shirt. I got it and today I am wearing them both for! I hope you like them as I really love and intend to keep them. P.S. This is one of the few times I opted to try tucking.

Hi Lovelies,
I hope you have as lovely weather outside as we are having in Boise! I am heading out to walk the dog and thought it would be fun to team my BF jeans and my dansko veda clog/tennies with a very preppy boatneck from LLBean. I also included my favorite white watch. I hope this isn't overkill and that the scale and proportions look ok. I even tucked the top which I rarely do! Opinions and suggestions welcome of course!

It's been a very hectic day trying to submit a new state report. I haven't had time to even enjoy YLF on my lunch break! Sorry to post and run but here is WIW today

Hi lovely ladies,
This dress is not new but I have not styled it before with my new denim wedges so I wanted to give it a whirl. I have teamed it with my trusty denim jacket so I hope you like it. I have also included a couple of separate shots of the dress with a crochets cropped cardi handed down to me by my twinnie. I haven't worn the cardi yet and wondered if works with this dress or if the fit or style is too dated. Opinions are gratefully accepted. I don't have any strong attachment to the cardi.

I realized that I hadn't worn my JCrew green linen tunic in a couple of weeks and decided to rectify that by teaming it with my white jeans. I just love how white seems to amplify any color it is teamed with. This is my standard look of white jeans, denim jacket, white watch, khaki sandals teamed with the green top. I hope you approve!

Today it is a lovely breezy 73 degrees outside and sunny. I fear our Spring will soon be over and we will be feeling the scorch of summer. Went for a lovely walk this morning and am thinking about taking another one right now!

Today I have opted to wear the new Clark Harwich Helm wedges with 3" wedge with my gray straightleg levis and a navy scoopneck long sleeve t, topped off by my light green jean jacket. I hope the length looks ok to you all. These shoes are really comfortable!
